SPAVO

The Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family – SPAVO is a non-governmental, non-profit organization in Cyprus dedicated to the prevention and response to domestic and gender-based violence. It provides direct support services to victims, particularly women and their children, including a 24-hour national helpline (1440), counseling, information on legal rights and options, and safe shelter accommodation offering support. In addition, SPAVO runs awareness and prevention campaigns, delivers training to professionals, and collaborates with state authorities and other organizations to strengthen the overall response to domestic violence in Cyprus.
