Sofi’s House provides a safe and supportive home for migrant young and underage mothers who have arrived in Cyprus as asylum seekers or victims of trafficking. The program offers accommodation along with practical support, counselling, accompaniment, childcare, parental skills training, vocational support, medical services, and legal counselling. The facility is staffed 24/7 by psychologists and social workers, ensuring continuous care and support. As part of the program, APHVF (Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family, also known as SPAVO) also operates a Child Care Support Programme run by professional childcare workers, aimed at helping mothers strengthen and empower their parenting skills. In addition, the Association cooperates with a lawyer to provide legal aid and with nurses to safeguard the physical health of the women and girls—especially those who are pregnant or caring for newborns.
